QUESTIONS CORNER

As the year 2025 is coming to an end, I have managed to compile some of the most facinating questions sorrounding Bitcoin in Malawi. Bitcoin thrives with curiousity and questions. As explained in the whitepaper 2008,  its design, infrastructure, functionality and how it intergrates in our daily lives still fascinates, leaving us in an oblivion wonderland of questions.

It is in our DNA to be very skeptical, develop curiousity and ask the 5W's of anything without leaving any spec of dust.  If we all take a breathe and are civilized then it makes actual sense that we must know and get accustomed to the actual reality of Bitcoin. I mean, how can we know, if we cannnot ask or perhaps find out!

This page is dedicated to collect questions and share them to you our previllaged reader, from simplest to the most complex question that personally to the best interest of my knowledge, I may not have the answers for.

These sets of questions will be left unanswered, intentionally ofcourse. These questions are a collection of real time interactions from Bitcon meetups, Seminars and Boot camps. They also include random people who i happen to engage in Bitcoin conversations with.

This question corner aims to trigger our brains in "think mode" and awaken the human "Gemini" or "Siri" and generate answer script dialogues. Therefore, Ill be posting a set ten questions now and then in  "Question corner " and make comments to the questions.

Keep in mind that these comments are not in anyway answers to the questions. They add my personal humor of perspective just to cheer my readers and not be afraid of Bitcoin. Each time i happen to interact with anyone who asks questions regarding Bitcoin, ill safely create a cold storage pinky bank, HOLD until they are ten questions then ill pour into this page.

Some say we are in the  age of aquarius where information and AI is taking a strong stance in the way we deal and process information. There is so much information from left, right and centre to the point that its a challenge to gauge actual facts, opinions and contextual background if we do not ask.

Just like Bitcoin cannot thrive without the internet, so is truth without questions. Feel at home to ask questions regarding Bitcoin and enjoy the questions asked by others.

Ladies and gentlemen, a toss to some questions for Bitcoin and cheers to some orange juice.

SECTION 1 QC

1. Where can we find Bitcoin offices in Malawi?

Well, this is one of the most common asked question whenever i interact with people who hear Bitcoin for the first time.  This question shows how people want to know more about Bitcoin and how they also feel assured and safe when there is a physical location or an insurance of something regarding value as Bitcoin. So yes, where are Bitcoin offices in Malawi?

2.  Can Bitcoin work on symbian phones without internet?

This is also a great question that does not fail to pop up in all walks of life. It actually tests depth of scale and ability of Bitcoins programmable claim and ability as an application and how easy it can be compatible and used to the advantage of anyone. Ill have to throw away my smartphone and get a Nokia brick and try opening a wallet and sending a transaction to myself.

3. Can i swap Bitcoin for the kwacha and other currencies?

Oh no! Not FIAT again. Yes, is Bitcoin fungible and interchangible? Most Bitcoin users have a back and forth relationship with  FIAT currencies and they constantly merge it with BTC. They give an impression of Bitcoin as an anchor bridge to FIAT currencies.  I would prefer if you accepted Bitcoin as money first that you can use to buy a cold beer with your local merchant.

4. Does government allow Bitcoin?

Yikes! I wish i were the government to respond to this question sometimes. Well does the government govern internet? Now let me aspire for some political position to tackle this question in the near future.

5. If you say they will ONLY ever be 21 million Bitcoins in existance, then how would trade happen, what happens to the market and all players involved in the Bitcoin network?

I mean we are not yet in 2140, this is last year the last block will be mined, according to the Mathematics behind network difficulty adjustment (fancy terms in Bitcoin). Ill definately freeze my body in cooler and awaken to witness what will happen but this is a great question as always, it make me go alice in wonderland, what do you think?

6. How do i get Bitcoin?

When i face this question, i always pull my pants up. Definately governments and banks do not issue it, you cannot pluck it from trees. Perhaps, i think it falls like mannah from the sky.

 7. Is'nt Bitcoin like AIM GLOBAL company where you invest and have gains over a period of time?

Bitcoin is an electronic digital currency, internet money, not AIM GLOBAL! Where is AIM GLOBAL by the way?

8. How can one invest in Bitcoin?

Well, well, well its like asking, how can I invest my money by using money! Its a typical question with serious repercussions. Personally, i use Bitcoin as money. If i work for you, pay me in Bitcoin. Ill buy Bananas in BTC.

9. Bitcoin is for the Chinese and used for gambling, what is its use case apart from going up and down?

You see, the Chinese are very clever folks, they can ban Bitcoin whilst they are mining it. This question came from a conversation a had with a business lady who claimed to have worked for the Chinese. She promised never to take Bitcoin seriously mmh!

10. Is there like Bitcoin physical notes or cash?

Well, Bitcoin is untouchable. You cannot smell it, fry it, taste it and not applicable to our 12 Senses. However, there was a hardfolk that created BTC Cash.  I think this was a point in time BTC tried to evolve into physical cash as a result of differences between scalling solutions, one camp was for small blocks and maintaining 1 MB block size, whilst the other fought for increasing block size to 32 MB. This is one common question  i face most times.

There you have it. These are some the common questions i collected this year. Ill continue to gather more questions and update this page in Section 2 of Common questions. Cheers and See you when you see me!!
